I don't know the answers to any of these questions, just I do recollect reading that someone on WC had had their artwork featured on a postage. Unfortunately, I don't call up who it was. Perhaps if you asked the same questions in the Buffet, you lot might hit a bigger audience and notice the creative person.

    U South Postal stamp design

Each year the The states Mail service receives over 40,000 requests for new subjects to appear on postage stamps. From those requested, approximately 30 subjects are chosen, utilizing an average of 100 designs. For example, one subject matter may be depicted on four stamps. The final option of subjects is made by the Citizens' Postage Advisory Commission/CSAC. Subjects are selected 3 years in advance of issuance.

The total commission for a completed stamp design or illustration is $3000. The artist is given $yard upon signing an agreement for concepts. If the piece of work is canonical, the creative person receives an additional $2000 for the concluding fine art. The original artwork becomes the possession of the Postal Museum.

When approved, the subjects are assigned to the Postal Service Stamp Pattern staff. The design staff works with five highly qualified, professional fine art directors in developing the designs.

    · Practise not submit artwork to be considered as stamp subjects to be issued past the The states Postal Service. Unsolicited designs volition automatically be returned without review.
    · All piece of work not considered acceptable by the staff will be returned.
The US Postal Service volition contact you lot if they are interested in commissioning your service. The Us Mail service will not:
